Long before the heat sets in, an air-conditioned car collects you from your Marsa Alam hotel and glides north along the Red Sea coast, the water flashing turquoise on your right. At the Hurghada marina your boat is waiting. You settle onto the deck as the engines wake, the coastline softens behind you, and the open sea opens ahead — flat, bright and impossibly blue.
Where you drop anchor is up to you. Orange Bay's blinding white sandbar and shallow lagoons — the "Egyptian Maldives." Giftun's protected reefs inside a national park. Laid-back Hula Hula, quiet Magawish, palm-fringed Paradise, or exclusive Mahmya. - This is a full-day trip from Marsa Alam. Hurghada's islands lie up the coast, so pickup is early (around 06:00) and the day runs long — roughly 12 to 14 hours door to door, including about 2.5 to 3 hours' drive each way.
- Please bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen (reef-safe if possible), a hat, sunglasses and your hotel details.
- Snorkeling is optional and beginner-friendly; life jackets are available on board.
- Not recommended for guests with limited mobility, women in advanced pregnancy, or anyone advised against long road journeys.
