Across four days you step into a pharaoh's burial chamber, watch the sun drop behind the Eastern Desert from the back of a camel, float over a coral garden in glass-clear water, and stand at the foot of the Great Pyramid. You sleep in your own Hurghada bed every night — every pickup, every ticket and every guide in between is arranged for you.
The rhythm changes completely from one morning to the next. Luxor is cool stone and hushed corridors, painted three thousand years ago and still holding its colour. The desert is heat, dust and engine noise, then complete silence the moment the quads switch off. Orange Bay is a sandbar so white it is hard to look at, with reef fish moving beneath you the second you put your face in the water. Cairo is the long pre-dawn drive that ends with the Giza plateau rising through the windscreen.
Booked separately, these are four days with four operators. Booked together, they read as one journey — the temples built to outlast their builders, the desert people who never needed cities, the sea that made this coast famous, and the monuments that started all of it. Your Egyptologist carries the thread from Thebes to Giza, so the last day arrives as a conclusion rather than a photo stop.
Day 1 — Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. A 5:00 AM pickup and a comfortable minivan south to the Nile. You explore the vast columned halls of Karnak, break for lunch at a Luxor restaurant, then cross to the west bank for the Valley of the Kings, the terraced temple of Hatshepsut — Egypt's only female pharaoh — and the weathered Colossi of Memnon. Back in Hurghada by evening.
Day 2 — Desert safari and Bedouin village. A hotel pickup into the Eastern Desert by jeep, then your turn behind the wheel of a quad and a dune buggy. Ride a camel as the light goes gold, take tea in a Bedouin village, and stay for a BBQ dinner with Tanoura dancing, live music and a fire show under a sky full of stars.
Day 3 — Orange Bay and the Giftun reefs. A morning boat out to two snorkelling stops over living coral, with equipment and an instructor on board. Then Orange Bay itself: white sand, shallow turquoise water and around two hours of free time on the island. Breakfast sandwiches, buffet lunch and drinks are served on board before the run back to the marina.
Day 4 — Cairo and the Pyramids of Giza. A very early start and the long drive north along the Gulf of Suez. On the Giza plateau you meet the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre with your Egyptologist, break for lunch, then continue to the museum included in your chosen option — the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, or the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza if you upgrade. Home to Hurghada the same night.
