Overview
The day begins at your Makadi Bay hotel, where a minibus waits to carry you up the coast road — desert hills on one side, flashes of turquoise on the other — until the yacht appears at its mooring. Transfers are part of the trip, so all you bring is swimwear and curiosity.
At the first reef your instructor takes over: a calm briefing, gear fitted to you, and then that unrepeatable moment when you slip under and take your first breath below the surface. Twenty minutes goes fast down there — clouds of orange anthias, coral heads like sculpture, a turtle if the day is kind. Prefer to stay shallow? Grab a mask and snorkel above the same reef.
Back on deck the crew has lunch waiting: a fresh buffet with soft drinks and tea flowing freely while the yacht slides toward reef number two. There is sun to lie in, shade to hide in, and a second dive ahead.
By late afternoon you have logged two dives (or a happy day of snorkeling), showered off the salt, and you are cruising home with the coast turning gold.
